Have you ever said something in anger and later wished you could recall the words? Once a word has been spoken it cannot be recalled. Do you know how critical it is to understand this?
Often regret is felt when arguments begin through discussions, especially re politics, money, and religion. People have a right to different viewpoints, therefore responses to differing opinions need to be said with this understanding. Self-control is needed when arguments ensue.
Do we realize that things that are said can be overheard or repeated? If your words are chosen poorly, they can cause pain both to the person talked about and to you.
You are asked if you like Sallys’ new hairstyle. You respond carelessly saying “That new style looks terrible on her” What if Sally is told what you said. She might feel hurt. She might worry…
