Whispers of the Universe: Lessons from “The Alchemist”
I have a rather extensive library of non-fiction books, most of which are self help. Every so often, I pick a book at random and either read or put it back. The other day, I randomly selected Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” and just about put it back because I had read it before. After I skimmed through a few random pages, I whispered a simple “thank you” for the opportunity to take advantage of yet another personal example of “Predetermined Coincidence”
I remember when I first bought the book and cracked open the pages I thought this could be just another story. But there was that little voice that whispered there was a lot more here. So I put it aside for a deeper read. This was one of those chance moments, for when I dived deeper into its layers it became evident that “The Alchemist” is more than just a tale; it’s a spiritual odyssey, a guiding light. Here’s some of what I found in this book and I pass it on for those who are interested.
