Embracing the Magic of Soft Words

In our daily lives, we face situations that can easily trigger strong emotions. It might be a disagreement with a colleague at work, a misunderstanding with a loved one, or even a bout of road rage during your daily commute. While our initial instinct may be to respond with frustration or anger, there’s another approach — one that centers on responding with soft and gentle words.

Let’s think about an example in nature — when fire rages, it’s not fought with more fire, but is quenched with water. Similarly, using soft words can extinguish the flames of anger and hostility.
