This is not meant for the chronic worrier. We all know people who are simply paranoid about current world events, especially negative possibilities from the endless COVID-19 negatives that are spread around. This is meant for those who are beginning to think and worry about what this increasing negativity is doing to them. Worry is like a rocking chair that gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere — (Unknown)

A rocking chair used as a soothing rocker can cool anxiety, comfort a frightened child by the gentle rocking motion, and relieve the pain felt by physically injured. Rocking not only soothes the body but comforts the spirit as if watching the ocean rise and fall to the rhythm of the waves.

Consider how worrying can be compared to rocking. As you worry it becomes a habit and can even trick you into thinking you are doing something to solve a problem. Then as a habit, you are no longer aware of what you are doing, and it becomes automatic. Valuable time is consumed that could be used to solve the…
