Hi Macy - Relationships come and go like the tide waters of a mighty ocean. I met my ex wife at 19 and we got married "in a fever". We grew up together, had wonderful children, but after 45 years we had drifted apart to the point we took part in an amicable divorce. That was 3 years ago and unexpectedly I have met a wonderful lady and we share our lives together now. You talk of "How should it be"? I do not have an answer that qualifies as an answer. My thoughts go back to what each of us want out of our relationship. I had no idea of those answers when we got married and now my new relationship is simply based on comfortable loving communication. From what I see, I am fortunate. What a difference from years ago. I do believe that if we are confident in ourselves we will have little reason for jealousy and the like. Does that come with age? Probably, because I could not say that in my twenties or even thirties. Anyway, I seldom even talk about such, so good on you for your opening. Thank you!
