Hi Grant - as I was reading this I thought of Asimovs 3 laws of robotics. Of course the thinker he was tried to take as many possibilities into account when creating them. This thought experiment is also an opportunity for assessing how we allow AI development. Being human we will push it to the extreme. We always have and always will. To help or not almost seems like a religious question. Once AI exceeds human capabilities it would be perceived as a god and we have history showing us what humanity reacts in that situation. Thank you for explaining that experiment.
