Everyone craves friendships, trust, and respect. It’s part of who we are as humans. Think of a simple rule most of us know which says to treat people the way you want to be treated. But when it’s our turn to show our true selves, to trust others, or to give respect, we often hesitate. Why is that? It’s a mix of emotions and thoughts, all tangled up with our personal experiences and what society has taught us.

As I move through my life experiences, I remember how many times the trust I had placed in others was laughed at, where the respect I had for those I looked up to, was discarded when truths came to light. The friends I made were few and far between and I eventually just accepted that time and distance affected every relationship.

Through it all I became fascinated at “why”.

Surely there must be answers that could be found. This is one of the reasons I set my purpose as a continuous discovery. Of simply uncovering and sharing the truths all around us.

And so with this blog, I look at why so many of us want those things that we are reluctant to give.

I am a student of life — devoted to "Discovery" -- observing and uncovering truths all around us - and offering that learning to those who wish to listen.
